The Geometry Check in Instagram

Instagram's Story engine checks the physical pixel dimensions. If an image is 3024 × 4032, Instagram recognizes the glasses sensor profile. If the image is cropped to 9:16 (e.g., 2268 × 4032) or standard 4:3 landscape (4032 × 3024), Instagram disables the 3D spin view badge.
